Rz. Gastrodiae Tian Ma 4.5g Extinguishes Wind, calms the Liver, stops spasms and tremors, extinguishes Wind, subdues Rising Liver Yang and alleviates pain.
With Gou Teng, calms the Liver and extinguishes Wind.
With Chuan Xiong, for overwhelming attacks of Wind leading to migraines and dizziness so severe that the person feels as if they are about to fall over.
Ram. cum Uncis Uncariae Gou Teng 15g Extinguishes Wind, alleviates spasms, drains Liver Heat and pacifies Liver Yang.
With Tian Ma and Quan Xie, for convulsions due to Liver Wind.
Goat Horn Shan Yang Jiao 30g Calms the Liver, relieves convulsions, dissipates stasis, alleviates pain and treats swelling and pain of eyes.
Rz. Chuanxiong Chuan Xiong 15g Invigorates the Blood and promotes the movement of Qi.
Flos Chrysanthemi Ju Hua 9g Disperses Wind, clears Heat, calms the Liver, clears the eyes, calms Liver Yang and extinguishes Wind.
With Chuan Xiong, for a headache due to Wind-Heat or Liver Yang Rising.
Sm. Cassiae Jue Ming Zi 30g Clears Liver Heat , clears the vision, benefits the eyes and anchors Liver Yang.
With Long Dan Cao and Huang Qin, for eye problems due to Liver Fire.
Rx. Scutellariae Huang Qin 9g Drains Fire, detoxifies and calms ascending Liver Yang.
With Huang Lian, drains pathogenic Heat from the Upper and Middle Jiaos for high fever, redness, swelling and pain of the head and face, a dry mouth, a parched throat, ulcerations of the mouth and tongue, epistaxis, rashes and irritability in warm-febrile disease.
With Da Huang, for constipation.
Rz. Coptidis Huang Lian 2.4g Clears Heat, drains Dampness, drains Fire and resolves Fire toxicity.
Cx. Moutan Mu Dan Pi 9g Clears Liver Fire, clears Heat, cools and harmonizes the Blood, clears Deficiency Fire, invigorates the Blood and dispels Blood Stasis.
With Chi Shao, cools the Blood and disperses Stasis, for Ying Stage Heat with epistaxis, hemoptysis, hemafecia, hematuria, menorrhagia and skin rashes.
With Ju Hua, for dizziness and red, swollen eyes due to ascending Liver Fire.
Rx. Paeoniae Rubra Chi Shao 9g Invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, relieves pain, clears Heat, cools the Blood, clears Liver Fire and relieves eye pain.
With Ju Hua and Huan Qin, for redness, pain and swelling of the eyes.
Scorpio Quan Xie 1.5g Extinguishes Wind, stops tremors and convulsions, unblocks the collaterals and stops pain.
With Gou Teng, for seizures, convulsions spasms, tics, hemiplegia due to Wind-Stroke, numbness and pain in the limbs, and stubborn migraines or trigeminal neuralgia from Liver Wind or Liver Yang Rising.
Rx. Gentianae Long Dan Cao 9g Drains and pacifies Excess Liver Fire.
With Huang Lian, for red, swollen, painful eyes due to Excess Heat in the Liver channel.
With Da Huang, for rib pain, a bitter taste, red eyes, jaundice, deafness, hot dysenteric disorders, Dampness and swelling of the scrotum, vomiting, epistaxis, fright, mania and constipation due to Liver Fire.
Rx. et Rz. Rhei Da Huang 9g Drains Fire, clears Heat and reduces Fire toxicity.
With Huang Lian and Huang Qi, for hematemesis or epistaxis due to Blood Heat.
